I’ve been studying steampunk for 8 years but I haven’t written a line so far. Don’t know how to get by. Steampunk turned out to be such an unusual thing of modern art that it’s kinda scary to speak about it: I might miss the main thing and reduce it all to just a set of “common patterns”. I already have hundreds of interior designs, items, paintings and devices but it’s been hard to structure them – I would need to structure all the information about steampunk first. And that would be steampunk as part of an interior. Anyway I would have to speak about steampunkers though, i.e. people who create all these items combining the fervor of mad inventors and the mastery of genuine artists.
